Susanna is an occupational therapist in private practice at The Wasley Institute where she provides counselling, psychotherapy and group facilitation, as well as reflective professional supervision to a range of professional people. Susanna has 43 years experience having qualified as an occupational therapist in 1966, as a psychodramatist in 1979 with the Psychodrama Training Institute of W.A., and is a 2008 graduate of the Hakomi Psychotherapy Training Course (mindfulness based psychotherapy). She has 13 years teaching experience in the psychosocial field as a lecturer and senior lecturer in the New Zealand and Western Australian Schools of Occupational Therapy. Susanna has contributed in the past to the Masters in Counselling program at Edith Cowan University and she continues to conduct professional development workshops for professional counsellors in Singapore. She served for a number of years as the newsletter editor for PACAWA, the Psychotherapists and Counsellors Association of WA.

Maggie Down
B.App.Sc.(O.T.)
Accredited Gestalt Therapist

Maggie has worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist for over 30 years. She trained initially as an occupational therapist, then with the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Perth. She worked for many years in mental health settings before commencing private practice which she has conducted – and maintained her passion for – for over 25 years. Her private practice is at Counselling on Stirling. She offers individual consultations, groups, workshops and trainings. While her orientation is fundamentally gestalt, she holds a strong interest in the interface between gestalt and psychodynamic understandings. She provides clinical supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists as well as small group supervision for counselling agencies, and is a supervising therapist for gestalt trainees. She also contributes to the counselling programme at the University of Notre Dame. Maggie served for many years as president of PACAWA, the Psychotherapists and Counsellors Association of Western Australia. She is a member of the National Training Standards Committee of PACFA, the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.
