Dr Jan Grant
Professional Life
Dr Jan Grant is a counselling and clinical psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist. She currently provides supervision for psychotherapists and psychologists, particularly those wanting to practice from a more developmental, psychodynamic, or psychoanalytic orientation. Jan is not available for new clients seeking therapy. She has been an academic for much of her career, most recently as adjunct associate professor at Curtin University, and was the Director of Counselling Psychology Programmes at Curtin from 2001-2013. Her research into supervision has focussed on managing difficulties in supervision, outcomes of supervision, and the impact of supervision on the supervisee.
She is the author of two books: Grant, J. & Crawley, J. (2002) Transference and Projection: Mirrors to the Self, McGraw-Hill; Crawley, J. & Grant, J. (2008) Couple Therapy: The Self in the Relationship, Palgrave.
