Professional Life
Maggie has extensive experience as a counsellor, psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer. She trained in Masterson Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy for the Disorders of Self. In her clinical work she provides long-term depth psychotherapy for adults.
Maggie has broad experience as a trainer. In addition to her training role in the Advanced Training Course in Professional Supervision, she has taught in the Counselling Programme at the University of Notre Dame and is a teaching member of faculty of the International Masterson Institute (East Coast USA). She is Director of Masterson Australia and conducts Clinical Study Groups on Disorders of Self locally.
Maggie is a Clinical Member of PACFA and an Associate Member of APPWA, the Association for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy of WA.
Supervison Background
As a senior clinician with a broad range of professional experience, Maggie offers clinical supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists, and other mental health professionals to enhance their clinical knowledge and skills, as well as to support their development of self as a helping professional. She also offers supervision of supervision for trained supervisors.
Maggie has undertaken formal training with Michael Carroll’s Centre for Supervision Training and holds an Advanced Certificate in Supervision.
Maggie served as a member of PACFA’s Training Standards Committee for a number of years. In this role she contributed to the development of the national Supervision Training Standards (2012).
The Advanced Training Course in Professional Supervision was conducted jointly with Susanna Howlett from 2009 until Susanna’s recent retirement in 2021.
